A tight opening hole, relatively short but demanding accuracy from the tee. Out of bounds down the left requires care from the tee shot and the approach to the green. A par is a good start.

A long par 4 across the slope demands a drive up the left and a blind second over a mound to a hidden green.

From the tee savour the views up the Dee Estuary. A relatively short par 4 can be reached with a wood or long iron and a short chip. Out of bounds along the woods to the right, but a good birdie chance on a sloping green.

An elevated tee confirms the need for an accurate tee shot. Out of bounds awaits in the trees along the right side and the fairway falls away steeply to the left. However, an accurate tee shot opens up the sheltered green and a birdie opportunity awaits.

Thread your drive through a gap to open up the approach to an sloping green. The fairway breaks to the left but too far right and the approach ends up in semi-rough. A good test to leave with par as the slope on the green requires an accurate putt.

A classic par 3 with the green protected by bunkers to the left and through the back. The green lies in a hollow – beware of the prevailing wind. When the correct club is chosen a good birdie opportunity.

An uphill par 4 that plays all of its yardage.  The fairway is protected by trees on either side and leads to an elevated green which provides a good target for the approach shot.  Once on the green, however, beware of the three-putt.

A par 5 that plays its length and an accurate approach is needed as the green is guarded by out of bounds on the right and to the rear.

A tough par 3 with a pond to the left and two streams to the right. Allow for the drop in height when choosing your club and consider landing your ball to the right of the apron as the hillock will kick everything back in towards the green. If your ball gets wet, use the current guidance for Yellow (or Red) penalty areas, as appropriate.

And so the homeward journey begins.  An accurate drive into the valley protected by trees to the right and out of bounds to the left leaves an approach to an elevated two-tier green.  Club selection is important to hit the target.

An accurate drive on this dog-leg par 5 must avoid strategically placed bunkers to have any chance of hitting the green with a long iron or wood with the next shot.

What should be a straightforward par 3 from an elevated tee but the green is protected by steep run-offs to the front and rear.  Club selection is important to hit the green and, with breaking putts to any flag position, walking off with a par is a good result.

A testing par 4 where the drive is crucial to open up the green.  From the tee carry a valley protected by a stream to set up the approach to a small green protected by bunkers to the front left and right.

A classic par 3 with a long carry to a green protected by a bunker to the left.  The fairway and green fall to the right making the shape of the tee shot crucial.  A tricky green to read and a par 3 is a very good result.

A downhill par 3 exposed to the elements with out of bounds down the left and trees creating difficulty out right.  Too far and a bunker awaits or at best a difficult chip to a sloping green.  Check the position of the pin as the change of level on the green is severe.

A testing par 4 with out of bounds down the left and a sloping fairway to a group of trees to the right. A blind approach to the green which again has two levels – check pin position.  An accurate drive opens up the hole but a difficult birdie opportunity.

Last hole but still needs concentration.  Everything falls to the left of the fairway so keep your tee-shot up the right-hand side, if possible, but not in the trees.  Don't go left with your approach to the largish green as it's OOB.  If you go too long, you can use the drop zone after lifting from the ditch. Par is a good score.
