Membership

This category is for adults who live in Dumfries & Galloway for whom Kirkcudbright will be their Home Club and the affiliated club for their handicap.

Full Members have full voting rights, can hire buggies at the reduced member rate and invite up to 6 guests to play with them at the current Guest rate within that calendar year.

Membership is for the calendar year (1st January – 31st December).

Payment can be by direct transfer (internet/mobile banking), card or cash.  Members who wish to spread the payments over several months may do so, simply speak to the office and a payment plan that suits the individual will be arranged.  Or download the Direct Debit form from our Documents page.

This category is for adults who live outside Dumfries & Galloway and can be for either Home or Away members.

Distance Members can hire buggies at the reduced member rate and invite up to 3 guests to play with them at the current Guest rate within that calendar year.

Membership is for the calendar year (1st January – 31st December).

This category has been merged with the Distance membership.

Any young person between the age of 17 and 23 can join as a Young Person Member.

Young Person Members can hire buggies at the reduced member rate but cannot sign on guests at the current Guest rate within that calendar year.

The Intermediate membership is designed to offer a more gradual increase from the Young Person rate to the Full rate over the course of 3 years.  In each year the subscription increases by one third the difference between the two rates.

At current rates, this is £170 + £115 = £285 in year 1 and £170 + £115 + £115 = £400 in year 2, £170 + £115 + £115 + £115 = £515 before moving to the standard Full rate in year 4.

This category is for Junior members (aged under 18 as at 1st January of the calendar year) who have progressed to playing a full round of 18 holes and have been registered for a World Handicap System (WHS) handicap.

Juniors can invite adults from their family to play with them at the Guest rate and any family members under 18 can play as their Guest free of charge but limited to 3 guests per year. 

Junior members who have yet to progress to playing 18 holes are charged a nominal subscription of £12.

A full programme of golf for 2, 5 and 9 hole players is in place each year, with competitions at Club and inter-club level.  The Junior programme is managed by volunteers with the appropriate registration, assisted by parents.

Twilight members can play after 4pm on any day.  Kirkcudbright can be (but does not have to be) the Home Club.  No handicap is maintained.

This is a temporary membership for play during the winter only, but entitles the member to play in the Winter Leagues if they wish.

Winter Members can hire buggies at the reduced member rate but cannot sign on guests at the current Guest rate within that calendar year.

Membership is for the off season only (1st October – 31st March).

Payment can be by direct transfer (internet/mobile banking), card or cash and must be made in full when taking up the membership.  Anyone who has paid for a Winter Membership and joins the following calendar year as a Full / Distance Member (as applicable) will have that fee reduced by an appropriate allowance.
